Reality Killed The Video Star.
Robbie Williams has announced his much-anticipated comeback album Reality Killed The Video Star, to be released Nov. 9. Ahead of that, "the first single to be released will be 'Bodies' on October 12th, with the digital version available one day earlier on the 11th."
The album was "produced by Trevor Horn, the legendary producer who in his younger days was one half of electro-pop duo The Buggles."
The Buggles song "Video Killed The Radio Star" was the first video to be shown on MTV when the music channel debuted Aug. 1, 1981, at 12:01 a.m., and was the inspiration for the title of Williams' new album.
Trevor Horn is considered one of the best producers of the 1980s, his greatest triumphs include Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Art of Noise, Seal, Yes, and the Pet Shop Boys.
Since leaving the band Take That in 1996, "Williams has enjoyed huge success as as solo artist: he has had six number one singles, every one of his UK studio albums has reached number one in the charts and he has sold a total of 55m records around the world."
