Newly Reformed Spandau Ballet Sell Out London's O2 In 20 Minutes.

Tickets for the Oct. 20 Spandau Ballet concert at the O2 Arena in London sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale Friday.

"Fans rushed to snap up their place at the band's London homecoming gig this morning after Spandau's spectacular announcement aboard HMS Belfast on Wednesday." All 5 original members Tony Hadley, John Keeble, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp, and Steve Norman "made the announcement aboard the HMS Belfast, the world famous British battleship on the banks of the River Thames and the scene of a legendary and notorious Spandau gig in 1979, from which they first set off on their global adventures."

The reformed band "have announced another O2 Arena date to meet the incredible demand on October 21st. Tickets are available now through the
Spandau Ballet Store and all other regular ticketing outlets."

Says Gary Kemp, "There's been a phenomenal response to the tour going on sale this morning, it's even more special that our hometown gig has sold out and we are adding an extra date. We can't wait to see everybody there."

Spandau Ballet's "Reformation Tour brings one of Britain's seminal pop groups back together for the first time in 20 years. The trip around UK and Irish arenas from October 2009 is the first leg of a World Tour."

The band has not only sold "by the millions, but their look and style impacted on the fashion world and beyond. They created their own style, combining creativity with entrepreneurship and the 'can do' spirit of early 80s youth at a time of crisis and upheaval eerily reminiscent of 2009. Spandau Ballet are both commercially and culturally enormous."
