In what turned out to be quite the close to 2008, with 22" of snow and ice dumped on Portland Oregon in the last two weeks of December, Waist High would like to say a hearty THANK YOU to TriMet, Portland's outstanding mass transit system. During the biggest snowstorm in 40 years, TriMet's light rail, bus, streetcar, and tram system kept commuters, including this writer, moving. Very efficiently I might add. Thank you TriMet for being the best people mover that a citizen of this beloved city could ever ask for!
